Music Ministry

Here at Eastminster

The music and worship ministry are an integral and important part of the ministries at EPC.

Music and worship are linked together through both individual and corporate reading of God’s word. Music has a way of piercing into the deep parts of our souls, which assists in our expression to God and to the church. Singing helps unite us to the church; the gospel alone unites believers to one another.

However, music is the tool that allows us to do so. Music is used to teach the gospel. The Apostle Paul wrote in Colossians 3:16: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace,” and “making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:19).

Our music ministry provides opportunities for singing for high school students and adults throughout the year, as well as opportunities for children. We also provide opportunities for adults to sing and play handbells.

We have 3 services each week to serve the members and the surrounding community. Each Saturday evening at 6 PM in the Fellowship Hall, the modern worship service incorporates a band, Bible study, and fellowship. Each Sunday morning at 9 AM, there is an outdoor service, and at 10:30 AM, a traditional service is held in the EPC Sanctuary, which includes liturgy, a choir, soloists, and organ or piano. Special Sundays and services also include an instrumental ensemble or feature a solo instrument.

The EPC staff and pastors strive to provide many elements of worship to enhance the worship experience.
